Terms of service.

Scope and quotes

Every piece of work starts with a written scope and a fixed quote, agreed in writing before anything is built. Work outside that scope is quoted separately before it starts. Estimates for time are honest estimates, not guarantees.

Payment

Fixed builds are invoiced in the stages set out in the quote, typically a deposit to start and the balance on delivery. Monthly engagements are invoiced at the start of each month. Invoices are due within 7 days. Prices are in Australian dollars and do not include GST, as Avvera is not registered for GST.

What you own

Once paid for, the systems, code, documents and accounts built for you are yours. I keep the right to reuse general methods, templates and know-how that aren't specific to your business, and to describe the work in general terms unless we agree otherwise.

Your systems and accounts

Most builds run inside tools you already pay for. You're responsible for those subscriptions, for the access you grant me, and for the accuracy of the data in them. I'll only use access for the agreed work and will hand it back when we're done.

Confidentiality

What I learn about your business stays between us, during the work and after it. The same goes both ways for anything I share about how Avvera operates.

Limits of liability

I build carefully and test before handover, but AI systems and third-party tools change. My liability for any engagement is limited to the fees paid for it. I'm not responsible for decisions you make based on a system's output, or for the availability of tools I don't control. Nothing here limits rights you have under Australian Consumer Law.

Ending an engagement

Either of us can end a monthly engagement with 14 days' written notice. Fixed builds can be stopped at any stage; you pay for the work completed to that point and receive what has been built.
